HOW TO PLAY
Your mission: Manage arrivals, departures and ground traffic at Luxembourg Airport (ELLX) safely and expeditiously within 25 minutes. Click or tap an amber aircraft label to issue instructions.
Arrivals: Clear aircraft to land when Runway 06 is available. After touchdown, instruct them to vacate and taxi to their assigned apron.
Departures: Clear aircraft to taxi to an allowed holding point (B4, G or F), line up and issue take-off clearance when runway and separation permit. Aircraft in the same taxiway queue advance automatically as the positions ahead become clear.
Wake turbulence: Aircraft labels show Heavy (H), Medium (M) or Light (L). Medium behind Heavy, or Light behind Medium or Heavy, requires 2 minutes; 3 minutes if the following aircraft departs farther down the runway than the preceding aircraft. Early take-off clearance costs 50 points. Normal departure spacing additionally requires the preceding aircraft to pass the far runway threshold (RWY 24) plus 5 seconds.
Apron traffic: Several aircraft may wait on the same apron. Allow approximately 10 seconds between departing aircraft and do not clear another aircraft while the shared exit lane is blocked. The exit lane is also the inbound lane: wait until an incoming aircraft has entered its apron and disappeared from the display. Once it disappears, it is parked and the lane is clear for another departure. Premature second apron departure costs 10 points; clearing into an occupied inbound lane costs 50 points.
Scoring: Touchdown +50; departure airborne +50; operational warning or rejected clearance −50 (except premature second apron departure −10); STOP IMMEDIATELY on runway −50; STOP on taxiway free; collision or runway conflict ending the game −500. Normal queuing is not penalised.
